taking a photo at just the right moment

I have not had the opportunity to follow one of my many loves of photography for several years. I came across these the other day and they are 2 of my favorites. I always look forward to the next favorite photo.

These are photos I took while visiting the Biltmore. It was a once in a life time experience and a great history lesson.

The Biltmore was started in the late 1800’s and still family owned.

There are 34 bedrooms, 43 bathrooms and 65 fireplaces with 250 total rooms. Not sure about square footage but it covers almost 4 acres, quite impressive. In the basement it houses a swimming pool, gym, bowling alley, servants quarters, kitchens and more.  It opened in 1895, and construction began 6 years prior and continued for several years.

  1. to be quite honest, i like the second one a lot…but i dunno about the first. i am not a photographer as such, but i don’t know if it is the picture itself, or the title given to it (god’s glory) that takes a lot away from the picture.

but the second one is really nice!
