photography with my third eye.

Going back and reopening a chapter in my life, my third eye, the camera lens has brought back an excitement and energy to each day. I am learning to not leave home with out it because if you do, as I have already proved, you could miss the best photo of all time.

While located at NAS Pensacola, I had the opportunity to meetGerald Burieigh, a professional photographer of small critters to wild game. I was in total awe of  his photography and even more so with the wealth of information that he was willing to share.

You have got to take a look at his critters and creations…

I was honored that he took the time to give me pointers about my camera and to look at my photos…hope you enjoy.

I have not mastered photoshop as of yet, but that is on my to do list and those of you that know me it is a never ending list. I would like for most of my photos to be natural without any editing, although I am using Photoshop for the watermarking.

These were taken with my Nikon D80.

Through the eye of my camera I see visions of beauty that other wise I wouldn’t see. It gives me so much joy and peace within.

Although I don’t know much about shutter speed and apeture, I am learning and thinking of taking some on line courses.

  1. Well I certainly think you’ve got a lot of talent. And definitely a good eye! Sweet pics, truly!

Hope you had a nice Thanksgiving.

  2. Wonderful photos Renee! I love the name of your blog!

    • Julie, thank you very much…photography has given me a new beginning and understanding
of what it is all about. Not being in a hurry..hummmm…maybe I will save this for my next post!

  3. ‘My Third Eye’ I just love that title, you’re so creative!!! Photography gives one a sense of freedom to explore, to capture nature or ‘the moment’ which is what I like best. For someone that’s just starting using this medium your photos above are outstanding and I applaud your new passion, you go girl!

Looking forward to seeing more out of your third eye ;D.

    All the best to you,
    Suz

As for the name, I thought it was pretty clever too until I realized just how many others use it..lolol, BUT that is ok.
The moment is definitely what it is all about and I feel very blessed to have captured the shots I have. I am going to my
first class tonight with 2 of my new found friends of photography.
Look forward to seeing you here again……with a write up about you and your beautiful work!!!!

  4. Beautiful photography, I like those relfections!

    • thank you, those are the hardest to find if you are looking. Soooooo I stopped looking and
I have been able to capture several shots with reflections. I love them….hummmm….it is funny
though….every time I take another shot it is my favorite.

  5. Happy Holidays Renee! Hope you’re enjoying yourself.

Look forward to your next post.
